Positive Science People is a Leamington Spa-based ecommerce company selling premium, award-winning, nutritional supplements. We have recently been accepted into the Innovate UK EDGE growth program and foresee to grow significantly, with UK and international expansion in mind. Our mission is to improve people’s health with targeted, condition-based products that appeal to consumers and health practitioners.
We are a small team with ambitious growth plans seeking a motivated local to join our team. This role will provide practical learning in the areas of digital marketing, e-commerce and market insights, and has the potential to develop into a more permanent position. It would suit someone studying marketing, with a keen interest in health and nutrition. Or someone studying nutrition with a keen interest in marketing!
Job description
As we grow, the role of the Ecommerce Assistant will grow as well. The role will start with developing our organic social media strategy to ensure a positive, growing brand presence and then implementing and running our social media accounts based on that strategy. Other areas include ecommerce (e.g. setting up our TikTok shop), content marketing (e.g. writing and sending newsletters), managing our website and supporting us with business admin.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver an engaging, relevant social media presence amongst our target audience
- Launch our presence on TikTok and support sales, with a managed budget
- Research and identify industry trends, health issues and competitor activity, to inform strategy
- Liaise with marketing agencies to set up and optimise advertising campaigns
- Use ChatGPT and online research to create relevant, accurate and engaging blog articles
- Provide general customer service via email
Skills required
Essential
- Keen demonstrable interest in health and nutrition
- Experienced using social media platforms, especially Facebook, Instagram and TikTok
- Interest in how to generate engaging, shareable content and build audiences
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; high attention to detail
- Ability to research and write engaging content that resonates with a given target
- Image/video creation and editing
- Ability to contribute new ideas and content
- Report writing skills
Desired
- Understanding social media analytics and advertising
- Ability to learn new tools (e.g. social media automation tools, ChatGPT, Canva, Shopify)
- Video creation (e.g. TikTok, Insta reels and stories)
