Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Our goal is to provide total transparency to our customers on our products and how they are made. Answers to commonly asked questions are provided to help people understand how we work and how our products might work for them.

General

In general, food supplements are a way to boost levels of certain vitamins, minerals and natural extracts, which in turn play a vital role in the health of your body and mind. Many people have deficiencies in key nutrients and supplements may play a role in addressing this. Food supplements should not replace a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle. They are not intended as a treatment or cure of specific medical conditions.

All ActiFlex products (Joint Care and Gut Health) are manufactured and packaged in Bedfordshire, England, under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) conditions, in a facility registered with the Health Food Manufacturers Association (HFMA).

No. ActiFlex products (Joint Care and Gut Health) are food supplements - concentrated sources of nutrients and herbal extracts, which support your regular diet and help avoid common deficiencies.

Food supplements are not a form of medication, so should not be taken to treat or cure specific illnesses. However, people with chronic health conditions may suffer from deficiencies in vitamins and minerals, so ActiFlex can play a role in balancing these levels. Further, the individual ingredients offer benefits to the normal health of certain specific areas, such bones, muscles, cartilage and connective tissues (all which contribute to joint health) and the digestive system.

The active ingredients in our supplements start contributing towards supporting good health immediately, as they are proven to support a variety of health aspects. However, different individuals will experience different effects, over different time periods. We recommended to take ActiFlex for at least four weeks to benefit, although many customers report an impact earlier.

Joint Care

Joint Care provides high doses of 15 different nutrients, in premium quality forms, which are in turn individually linked with certain health areas. These areas include support for bones, muscles, cartilage and connective tissues (all which contribute to joint health), along with immunity and energy. How these benefits manifest varies by individual.

Joint Care contains 15 active ingredients, all carefully selected for their scientifically proven health benefits. The full list is provided below and more detail on their evidence-based benefits, click here.

Joint Care should be taken twice daily, two capsules each time, with food (ideally a meal or substantial snack). Taking supplements with food helps maximise absorption. For many people, it helps to develop a routine. For example, taking two capsules with breakfast and then two with dinner.

If you find ActiFlex too strong or suffer from a sensitive stomach, you can reduce the dosage to one capsule, twice a day.

This depends on your individual health condition, history and type of medications, so it is not possible to generalise. If you are unsure whether Joint Care can be combined with your prescription medication or taken with certain existing health conditions, we strongly advise you consult with your medical practitioner, providing them with a full list of ingredients (see below).

Joint Care is a food supplement not a form of medication and is not designed specifically to control pain. Individuals seeking pain relief medication should speak to their doctor, pharmacist or other medical practitioner.

The active ingredients in Joint Care offer benefits to joint health (via muscle, cartilage and connective tissues), bone strength, immunity support and energy release. These benefits will manifest over time, with different individuals experiencing them differently. While some users do report reduced pain, this should not be expected.

Joint Care contains curcumin, the active ingredient in the flowering plant turmeric, known for its roots, which are used in South-Asian cooking. Turmeric (in powder or raw form) typically contains less than 10% curcumin, so using curcumin itself means there is a greater proportion of the active ingredient that provides the health benefits. Additionally, Joint Care contains a particularly premium quality variety known as High Strength Extract, which contains 95% curcuminoids. This means 95% of the ingredient is actively supporting your health, more than commonly found.

Joint Care is suitable for vegetarians, but not vegans due to one ingredient, Vitamin D3.

After one week, increase to two capsules, twice daily (four in total per day). For example, take two capsules with breakfast and then two with dinner.

This depends on your individual health condition, history and type of medications, so it is not possible to generalise. If you are unsure whether Gut Health can be combined with your prescription medication or taken with certain existing health conditions, we strongly advise you consult with your medical practitioner, providing them with a full list of ingredients (see above).

Gut Health contains both!

Aloe Vera and Apple Pectin are both important prebiotics, whilst Bifidobacterium Bifidum, Lactobacillus Acidophilus and Lactobacillus Casei are vital probiotics.

Gut Health is 100% suitable for both vegetarians and vegans.

Gut Health contains 18 separate ingredients, all chosen for their efficacy and ability to synergistically work together. While other supplements exist that contain one or a few of the ingredients, none have such a broad range of nutrients that offer benefit to digestive system. For example, probiotics work best in combination with prebiotics, so Gut Health includes both. Additionally, the product is made in England, to the highest manufacturing standards (GMP), not overseas.

Compared to buying all these nutrients separately, at less than £1 per day, Gut Health is very good value, especially for a supplement made in England.

Energy Release

Energy Release combines multiple different types of ingredients that each support the energy metabolism in different ways.
