“Over the last couple of years, I’ve been taking various supplements to help with joint problems, but nothing has really worked, until I started taking Actiflex and I must say, this is really working for me, and has helped me so much, I am so very pleased with the results, thank-you.”
Valerie, West Yorkshire
“As a Roofer my job is seriously hard on my body. I’ve been taking these products for about 4 months and have noticed a significant improvement. My joints definitely feel much better. I’ll certainly be continuing to take these supplements as i know they work.”
“I am quite sceptical about products claiming to benefit arthritis sufferers, but decided to give it a try. I am very pleased with the effects it has had on my sore stiff joints, particularly my hands. I also find much greater flexibility in my joints which is a definite bonus. I would definitely recommend this product to be at least worth a try. It works for me!”
Based on Experience & Expertise
ActiFlex Joint Care is the unique result of our team’s personal and professional experience.
Our founder Sandra Witzel lives with arthritis and osteoporosis, and created this product to help others. She works closely with Rachel Redman, our Registered Dietitian, who brings expertise in nutrition.
Bones & Muscles
Vitamins D and K, plus Calcium, Magnesium and Zinc, help maintain normal bones. Vitamin D contributes to normal Calcium absorption. Magnesium, Calcium and Vitamin D help support the normal functioning of muscles.
Selenium, Vitamin C and Zinc help protect cells from oxidative stress.
Copper helps maintain normal connective tissue. Manganese contributes to the normal formation of connective tissue. Vitamin C helps normal collagen formation for the normal function of cartilage, which is a smooth, flexible elastic tissue found in the body.
Selenium, Vitamin C and Zinc contribute to a normal, functioning immune system.
Copper and Manganese contribute to normal energy release. Vitamin C contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, with Copper contributing to normal iron transport in the body. CoQ10 is abundant in energy-producing mitochondria within cells.
Backed by Science
Our Joint Care formula combines 15 quality ingredients to support the key areas which directly and indirectly impact joint health.
Because the health of joints relies on several factors, our supplement supports bones & muscles, connective tissue, cell protection, immunity and energy release. Bioperine™ is included to aid absorption, so the nutrients are most effective.
1. Examine the Evidence
Everything starts with a detailed examination of scientific research and for nutrients with proven health benefits. We look for human trials (over animal), peer-reviewed papers and meta analysis (which considers several studies). Our mexhaustive search explores global thinking, especially the USA and Australia who are often very ahead of the curve on ingredient research.
In our Joint Care formula, our choice of curcumin as a lead ingredient is based on evidence from 17 different, robust studies.
2. Use Multiple Angles
The human body is complex and health requirements are equally multi-faceted, with different elements to consider. For this reason, we look at different aspects of a particular condition or part of the body. To use an analogy: there is no point fixing the roof, if the walls are falling down.
The digestive system is hugely complicated, so our Gut Health formula has digestive enzymes for the stomach, pre-biotics for the small intestine and pro-biotics for the large intestine, to create a total gut solution.
3. Pick Perfect Partners
Nutrients don’t work in isolation: they work in pairs or teams, to support our body’s optimal health. So, we aim to partner ingredients that are proven to work well together. Often, the whole – in terms of a health outcome – is greater than the sum of the parts.
Vitamin D3 and K2 are proven to work better together than in isolation, in particularly in supporting the transport of calcium for bone health, so we use both in our Joint Care formula.
4. Elevate Efficacy
Picking the right nutrients is only half the story, as different nutrients are accessible in different forms and they come with different price tags from a manufacturing perspective. We aim to select the most potent, bio-available forms possible, even if they are pricier.
There are 47 commonly used ingredients that deliver a dose of magnesium. And not all are equally effective. For example, Magnesium Chloride and Oxide have a poorer absorption compared to Magnesium Citrate or Glycinate. But because they are cheaper ingredients, many supplement makers will use them in their products.
5. Define Dosage
Once a nutrient, in the right form, is chosen for a product, we take care to ensure the quantity is optimal. Too little and it will be ineffective, too much and it could cause discomfort. Some ingredient combinations should also come in a specific ratio, to ensure balance.
For example, we chose a high amount Vitamin C in our Joint Care formula, but not so high that it may cause stomach upset.
6. Regularly Refine
New research and thinking becomes available constantly, so once we’ve created a product we don’t sit back. Every year, we review our formulations and, if recommended by our research, we tweak, tinker and tailor the recipe.
After one year of our Joint Care formula being in market, we reformulated to increase the dosage of both Vitamins K2 and D3, in recognition of their importance.
Joint Care provides 15 different nutrients, which are linked with certain health areas. These areas include support for bones, muscles, cartilage and connective tissues (all which contribute to joint health), along with immunity and energy. How these benefits manifest varies by individual.

Joint Care should be taken twice daily, two capsules each time, with food (ideally a meal or substantial snack). Taking supplements with food helps maximise absorption. For many people, it helps to develop a routine. For example, taking two capsules with breakfast and then two with dinner. If you find ActiFlex too strong or suffer from a sensitive stomach, you can reduce the dosage to one capsule, twice a day.
This depends on your individual health condition, history and type of medications, so it is not possible to generalise. If you are unsure whether Joint Care can be combined with your prescription medication or taken with certain existing health conditions, we strongly advise you consult with your medical practitioner, providing them with a full list of ingredients (see below).
The active ingredients in Joint Care offer benefits to joint health (via muscle, cartilage and connective tissues), bone strength, immunity support and energy release. These benefits will manifest over time, with different individuals experiencing them differently. While some users do report reduced pain, this should not be expected.
This depends on your individual health condition, history and type of medications, so it is not possible to generalise. There are ingredients in Joint Care which may have a blood thinning effect. Joint Care contains curcumin, the active ingredient in the flowering plant turmeric, known for its roots, which are used in South-Asian cooking. Turmeric (in powder or raw form) typically contains less than 10% curcumin, so using curcumin itself means there is a greater proportion of the active ingredient that provides the health benefits. Additionally, Joint Care contains a variety known as High Strength Extract, which contains 95% curcuminoids.
Joint Care is suitable for vegetarians, but not vegans due to one ingredient, Vitamin D3.
Joint Care contains 15 separate ingredients, in relatively large amounts and chosen for their efficacy. For example, the daily dosage of Vitamin D3 provides 500% of nutrient reference value (NRV) and the Vitamin C offers 563%, both particularly high quantities compared to other multi-ingredient products. Premium forms of minerals are used – such as Magnesium Citrate and Zinc Glycinate – for their superior bioavailability. The formula includes High Strength Curcumin (as a turmeric extract), which provides 95% curcuminoids. Additionally, the product is made in England, to the highest manufacturing standards (GMP).
